The weather was glorious for our guest’s holiday, after quite a dramatic storm the night before her arrival. It cleared the air and the intense heat lessened a little, and we had beautiful sunny days with blue, blue skies. For me, it was great to see the studio in use – she unpacked machines and fabrics, and even “stole”the vegetable trolley from the guest kitchen, to store all her essentials!
She wanted to spend time in the studio without tuition, just working through some projects she had been planning. She also wanted to swim in the pool and explore Umbria and Tuscany – it was her first trip to Italy. We had tea in the garden under the pergola, and caught up on each others news – she was, by chance and because of Covid, the very last guest who came on a Textile holiday in France!
