Another busy day in the studio… One of my Intermediate sexists came in to make an eternity scarf, and to learn about different ways of sewing knit fabrics… Three of my Beginners made aprons – two finished, one lost finished. I just love the range of fabrics and trimmings chosen, and the very different styles created. Two more Beginners came in to make oven gloves, though because that’s a fairly tricky project they weren’t quite finished by the end of the afternoon. Pictures of these – and the 3rd apron – to follow at a later date! Lots of skills covered – sewing with knits, quilting, couching, bias binding, topstitching and edge stitching, making a lined patch pocket, double hems…..
