I wanted to design a quilt which was quick to make but which looked intricate and complex! After a LOT – too much! – of thought and scribbling on graph paper, I decided to loosely follow one of my designs but to adapt and improve it as I went along…and here’s the result. It’s made out of 26 strips from Moda’s “Oak Grove” jelly roll – I like the idea of making quilts that involve one pre-cut pack, but no other fabrics…except, of course, for the wadding and asking fabric!
This was designed especially for a Patchwork Workshop, which I’ll be running in Oct or Nov – something to build skills before tackling more challenging patchwork projects.
