This review is from Lizzy Hall, who came on holiday with her friend Marie. It was their second sewing holiday with me – their first was in France in the summer of 2019.
We were lucky enough to have a week with Textile Holidays Italy in October of this year. This was our first chance to come post covid and we can definitely say a big wow! The accommodation was beautiful, we had such gorgeous views towards Lake Chiusi, supper amongst unbelievable sunsets, birdsong and some much needed tranquility were daily occurrences. Our accommodation was well equipped, the thoughtful attention to detail just made everything so welcoming and comfortable. We used the pool twice a day on most days, watching the sunrise from the olive grove was stunning. And now for the sewing….. I learnt so much, I had the opportunity to try new things, I came away with two jersey tops, one viscose, one cotton,I had never sewn with jersey before. I also made some pyjama trousers and a Bargello quilt top. Bronwen’s advice, skills and knowledge really helped both of us improve.I can honestly say that this was one of my best and favourite holidays, we’re going again next year.Lizzy”
Photos are from our day trip to Assisi – Lizzy took the fabulous nun photo! – and of Lizzy’s Bargello quilt top.
