I had a someone working in the studio for the afternoon, learning how to do “quilt-as-you-go” Log Cabin patchwork… There’s that awful moment near the start when you unwrap the beautifully packed “jelly roll”, look at the lovely co-ordinating fabrics, but then have a minor panic while you work out how to put them together so they balance…
In the end – and actually, without too much deliberation – the colours were grouped and in no time two different blocks were produced… They’ve now been taken away – there are 14 more to make! – and I can’t wait to see them on the second workshop, where they’ll all be put together.
