“Afternoon Tea” is my new quilt design, made from Moda’s “Bee Inspired” layer cake… I’ve been designing it over the last week, and planned out the colours a few days ago. So, today I was able to go straight into my studio and make it. It’s designed especially for a new workshop I’m hoping to run in Sept/Oct, but at some point I’ll probably put the instructions together – I’ve taken 100s of photos of the manufacture! – and sell the design on Etsy. It’s 130cm x 130cm, and looks great as a sofa throw, a protective tablecloth and a topper for a double bed. I might make a Christmas version next!

love your new design and the fabrics are just perfect for it.

Hello Joanne… THANK you! I thought you meant you’d commented on my Facebook page post… I usually check these website comments 2-3 times a week but have been slightly lapse lately because on here I’m more likely to get spam/”how to rank higher on Google” comments instead of nice, genuine comments like this. So, apologies!
I love this Moda pack – the little bees and honeycomb prints are gorgeous… I’m going to make the same design out of “Regency Blues” when it (layer cake) arrives – it will be interesting to see how it working in those fabrics too.
