Today I ran my last sewing workshop of the year, the “French Star” mini patchwork project – challenging, intricate, and demanding very accurate sewing – and the results are fantastic! It’s a new project I designed in the summer, so it was particularly interesting to see how other people’s fabric choices affected the results. Two people made cushion cover fronts – they’ve each promised me a photo when the back is attached, so I’ll post them here. Two others made wallhangings – one is finished apart from the hand stitching at the corners, the other is about half an hour off finishing; again, I’ll post photos when it’s complete. I’ll be buying some charm squares and mini charm squares again in the next few days – I’m inspired!
What a lovely way to end a great a year of sewing!
