The weather has been truly glorious this week – around 25 degrees and very sunny, up until Thursday. So – and this is unusual for me, because I don’t find relaxing easy! – I’ve been enjoying sitting in the garden hand sewing. This sort of “Slow Sewing” really IS a great way to relax! I made a mini needle case, because the one I made the other week is ideal for storing embroidery skeins as well as packets of needles, and was getting a bit full. So, I decided that my “Sewing for Mindfulness” sewing basket, which I can easily carry into the garden, needed a mini case as well, just for individual needles and a few pins. I also made a little portable thread catcher, which has proved invaluable, trimmed with EPP hexies and a little bit of embroidery on the base.
