This week is not only the last week of workshops before Christmas, but, almost by chance, it’s a week full of bag making! Today I had two beginners making reversible, pleated shoulder bags with a matching/contrasting make-up bag, and one of my Intermediates making a Harris tweed cross-body bag. Strangely enough, the two shoulder bags were both blue and white stripes AND the Harris tweed bag was lined in blue and white stripes – and blue and white striped fabric is one of my favourite fabrics! All three were beautifully made and look really professional. I’m not sure the photos really do the Harris tweed colours justice – it was a beautiful tartan in green, heather and rust, with navy corduroy contrast.
