I had a great weekend in the studio with two lovely ladies, Ann and Christine. Between them, skills covered included appliqué, couching, piping, gathers, lining, creating a pattern, buttonholes, seam allowances, pockets, interfacing… and they made a cushion, a draft excluder and a child’s dress! I’ve been promised in situ photos in a week or so, and will post them as soon as they arrive – the close up is of one of the gorgeous fabrics they brought with them.
A fun weekend…

Bronwen, what can I say. It was a fantastic weekend. We learnt so much. I even exceeded my own expectations. I didn’t think I would come away with a child’s dress. You taught me so much. Lots of tips which I have already started to use. I have finished the dress and have nearly finished the child’s panties to match the dress. The last thing I have to do is to create my own bias binding for the leg opening on the panties. I feel so confident and when I finish the bias binding tomorrow I am starting on another dress in white and will be using the new Minerva cottons that I have ordered to put a bit of detail on the dress. You have opended up so many opportunities for me now. You workshop is amazing as well as the accommodation and look forward to coming back soon. Many thanks.
